Lessons at the Music Centre 

We offer a wide range of lessons at the music centre, running alongside our instrumental and vocal ensembles. Lessons are open to everyone, whether or not you take part in a group, although we find that students often make faster progress when they combine both.

Tuition is available across a variety of instruments and musical genres, so whether you dream of becoming the next Ed Sheeran or Sheku Kanneh-Mason, or simply want to play for fun in your bedroom, we have something to help you develop your skills and realise your potential.

2025/2026

Individual 20 minute lesson £18.00

Individual 30 minute lesson £27.00

2026/2027

Individual 20minute lesson £19.50

Individual 30minute lesson £29.00

Lessons take place on weekday evenings and we work hard to match our teachers with your interests and availability.

If you would like to sign a pupil up for lessons and already have a child taking lessons or playing in a Stockport Music Service group, then you can add additional pupils to your existing Music Service account.  Please use this link to sign in; SpeedAdmin Log In

You can choose Music Centre and then select lessons from the available options in each case.  If you cannot see the instrument you wish to learn at your chosen school then please contact the office on 0161 483 7636 or music.service@stockport.gov.uk to see if this is something we can facilitate.
